As some of you will know by now, Alex left Earthtones earlier this month, and so the business has gone back to its roots – a woman-owned, disabled-owned business. It’s over eight years since I launched Earthtones and it has grown to more than I could have imagined then, but it has a lot more growth in it, and I am going to make sure that happens! With all the changes that have taken place this month, I decided a Monday Mantra for a new beginning was in order, and so I present yesterday’s Ganapathi mantra recital.

This mantra to Ganesha is so popular, and for good reason. Ganesha is the Remover of Obstacles – picture him as an elephant physically shifting blockages out of your way, so if something is stopping you achieving your goals, invoke Ganesha to help you. He’s also routinely invoked at the beginning of new projects too, and although Earthtones is definitely not a new project, but this does feel like a new beginning and so this seemed like an apt time to ask for his blessing and support as Earthtones moves forward as a one woman show again.
OM Gum Ganapathayei Swaha
Chanting Om Gum Ganapathayei Swaha can also bring a sense of grounding and reassurance, reminding us that we are never truly alone on our path. The vibration of the mantra helps to clear stagnant energy, invite clarity, and encourage courage when stepping into new chapters. Whether you repeat it quietly in meditation or aloud with full voice, each repetition strengthens your connection with Ganesha’s energy. It’s a beautiful practice for cultivating trust, resilience, and forward movement.
You can view the Monday Mantra archive on Earthtones’ YouTube channel and in the archives of the Earthtones blog. If you would like to have your name in the mantra box for a future mantra, look out for the posts on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
