Mahala Gehna PLDipST MCMA Sound Healing, Cacao Ceremonies & Training

Meet Your Tutor

Courses are written and taught by Mahala Gehna PLDipST, founder of Earthtones School of Sound.

Mahala began studying sound healing in 2007 and was the first person in the UK to be awarded the Certificate in Sound Therapy.

Since then, she has undertaken further training, worked with hundreds of clients, and developed her own treatment protocols and practitioner training materials. As a qualified teacher, Mahala brings together professional teaching experience clear course structure, adaptable teaching methods and a supportive approach.

Her aim is to help students become thoughtful, capable practitioners, not just people who can play beautiful instruments.

We are located on Church Street, which is just off the Market Place, under the viaduct. With the viaduct behind you, facing away from the market square, we are on left hand side of the street. We have a big blue door, with a large Earthtones sign on it, and which is next to Cash Express. We are on the first floor; just come up and we’ll welcome you in!

There are several parking spaces on the street outside. These offer unrestricted parking after 6pm and on Sundays. At other times, parking is limited to 1 hour or reserved for Blue Badge holders.

The nearest car park is Toothill Lane at NG18 1NJ. It’s just a 2 minute walk down the hill to Earthtones. There are also two new NCP car parks at the end of Bridge Street, which are both cheap. Alternatively, both the rail and bus stations are less than 5 minutes walk from us.
