Description

These versatile shakers are made by filling a woven basket with seeds and attaching a smooth coconut plate to the base.

They can be played in two different ways. Shake them gently on their side and the seeds move against the basket for a softer, more natural sound. Play them vertically, up and down, and the seeds strike the coconut plate to create a brighter, harder tone with an almost metallic edge.

A lovely little instrument for rhythm work, sound sessions, meditation, ceremony, or adding texture to music-making.
