This New Year’s Eve, step away from the noise and into a sacred, heart-led space of reflection, release and renewal.

New Year's Eve Gong Bath

Across four nourishing hours we’ll honour the year that’s closing, gently let go of what you no longer need, and welcome the new year with clear, embodied intention – all held in ceremonial cacao, oracle cards, sound and ritual in an intimate group (maximum 12 people).

The evening will include:

  • Opening circle & oracle cards – arriving fully into the space and receiving insight and guidance on the year that’s ending.
  • Heart-opening cacao ceremony – softening into gratitude, clarity and courage as we prepare to release the old.
  • Fire release ritual – writing and offering into the flames the patterns, stories and heaviness you’re ready to leave behind.
  • New Year gong bath (11:30pm–12:30am) – a one-hour, immersive sound journey with gongs to carry you gently across the threshold into the new year.
  • Second oracle card ritual – opening to the energy, themes and guidance of the year ahead.
  • Intention setting ritual – wrapping our intentions for the coming year and sealing them with cacao to create a talisman to take home.
  • Guided journalling & sharing – time to land your insights on paper and, if you wish, share with the group in a gentle, held circle.
  • Closing Heart Light meditation – to anchor you in your heart and radiate your light into the year ahead.

FAQs

Do I need any experience to come?
No. This event is suitable for complete beginners as well as those who are familiar with cacao, sound baths or ritual work. I’ll guide you through each stage gently and clearly.

What should I bring?
A yoga mat, blanket and pillow are provided for each participant. Please bring:

  • Warm layers, socks, and anything that helps you feel cosy
  • A bottle of water
  • A journal and pen (for the reflection and intention-setting part)
  • Your favourite mug
  • An offering for the cacao altar (optional! Something from nature is perfect)
  • If you tend to get chilly when you relax, bring an extra blanket or shawl.

What should I wear?
Comfy, loose clothing you can easily relax and lie down in. Think soft waistbands, not party outfits. You’re very welcome to wear something that feels special or ceremonial as long as you can move and breathe freely.

Can I drive home afterwards?
Most people are absolutely fine to drive afterwards. You may feel peaceful, reflective and deeply relaxed, so I recommend giving yourself 10-15 minutes to come back round at the end, have some water and ground before you get in the car. If you know you’re a bit floaty after deep rest, you might like to plan a slightly slower journey home.

Do I have to drink a full cup of cacao?
Not at all. I’ll serve a gentle, ceremonial-strength cacao, but you’re welcome to have a smaller amount or just sip slowly. If you have any health conditions or take medication, please let me know in advance so we can adjust your dose or offer an alternative.

Are there any medical contraindications?
This is event is not suitable for the first trimester of pregnancy.
Cacao and gong baths may not be suitable for:

  • Certain heart conditions
  • Very high blood pressure
  • Epilepsy
  • Some mental health conditions
  • Some medications (especially SSRIs or MAOIs)

If you’re unsure, please contact me beforehand so we can check what’s safe and adjust as needed. Your wellbeing is more important than having the “full” experience.

Will there be movement or dancing?
This particular New Year’s event is mostly seated or lying down, with gentle transitions between activities. There’s no formal dance section and you won’t be asked to do anything physically demanding. If you need to stretch or adjust your position at any time, you’re very welcome to.

Do I have to share in the circle?
Sharing is always optional. You’ll be invited to speak if you’d like to, but you are equally welcome to stay quiet, listen and keep your experience private. The circle is there to support you, not to put you on the spot.

What if I fall asleep during the gong bath?
It happens! Your system will still receive the sound vibrations. Some people “drift” in and out, which is very normal. If you know you snore loudly, you might like to lie slightly on your side to minimise it, but you certainly won’t be judged if you doze off.

Is this suitable if I’m feeling emotional or going through a tough time?
This can be a very supportive space if you’re feeling tender. Cacao, sound and gentle ritual can help you process and soften what you’re carrying. However, it’s not a replacement for medical or mental health support. If you’re in acute crisis, please also seek appropriate professional help. You’re welcome to message me beforehand if you’re unsure.

What is the refund/cancellation policy?
Tickets are non-refundable. If you can’t attend, you’re welcome to gift or sell your place to a friend and let me know their name. If there’s a waiting list and I can refill your space, I’ll happily transfer your ticket to a future event.
