Today is Parkinson’s Awareness Day. Parkinson’s slowly removes motor and verbal control and mental capacity and this mantra aims to relieve those symptoms.
This is something close to my heart, as my own Grandad (who my son is named after), was diagnosed with Parkinson’s before I was born, and although I have some memories of him from before he was really badly affected by it, most of what I remember of him was from after Parkinson’s had affected his movement and speech.
Using a mudra, which is a hand gesture, whilst chanting “generates vibrations in the nervous system, creating an electromagnetic field around the body to help regenerate damaged cells and balance the chakras.”
In the video, I suggest using this mantra with the person in your life who has Parkinson’s. For most who have the disease, doing this mantra themselves might be too difficult, but you can help them to put their hands into the mudra and chant the mantra for them. The energy will still surround them.
